When I'm frustrated or whatever, just thinking of pliés is enough to calm me down - lovely music and slow, soothing music !
Take care with the splits - they aren't really necessary unless you are an aspiring Darcy Bussell!

In response to:Update

I've heard of ISTD. We don't have it here. Mostly only RAD and CSTD. RAD is still the popular one, but CSTD is catching on..

Cool! You have your own school! :-)

I'm not that good actually. I don't dance competitively nor for shows. I almost had the chance to. But I think I'm too old for that now. Stiff bones and all. I only have lessons once a week.

I just tore my muscles while doing a split on Monday.

I started ballet when I was 6. Yup, I love it. It wasn't easy to sustain interest though. I almost dropped out once, but then I watched Swan Lake and fell in love with ballet again.
:-D

In response to:Update

You sound really commited and clearly really love it. You must be good too, to get that far and want to keep going.

I started in Cecchetti Ballet then did my Majors in RAD. I am now a teacher of ISTD Cecchetti Ballet. i wonder if CSTD is similar to ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing).

I have my own school and am just about to take a higher teaching exam. Seems we dancers never stop learning! Both my daughters dance too!

Let me know what you get up to - do you do shows?

In response to:Update

Yes, I do ballet too. I'm currently doing CSTD Elementary. My foundation (ie Grade 1-8) was from RAD. I should be taking the exams this year.
